Dr. Corcoles is the Chief of Thoracic Surgery at Universitary Vinalopo Hospital, in Alicante, Spain. He developed the Thoracic Surgery Department at his center in 2010. His main topics are Uniportal VATS, sublobar resections, Nonintubated procedures, Chest wall defomities and neoplasms, and mediastinal MIS. He's one of the founders of CITMIA, the minimally invasive Thoracuc Surgery Unit.
Dr. Bolufer is consultant in Thoracic Surgery at University General Hospital, in Alicante, Spain. He has been deeply involved in the Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery within the last years, and set a Formative Course in cadaveric models for thoracic myoplasties for chest wall reconstruction for the SECT. His main topics are sublobar resections, Uniportal VATS, Nonintubated procedures, esophageal MIS and tracheal surgery. He's one of the founders of CITMIA, the minimally invasive Thoracic Surgery Unit.
Dr. Navarro is consultant in Anesthesiology and Surgical Critical Care at Univeristy General Hospital, in Alicante, Spain. He created AnestCritic, with the aim of developing formative programs for Anesthesiologist in the management of emergent situations. His main topics are Nonintubated procedures, difficult airway , crisis resource management. He`s cofounder of MEIDEO, a 3D company for medical and surgical solutions.
Dr. Obeso is consultant in Thoracic Surgery at Santiago de Compostela University Clinical Hospital, in Spain, and has also worked in Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Among his greatest achievements, Dr. Obeso discovered and described a new radiological sign "Earth-Heart Sign", which was published in the in the prestigious medical journal The Lancet. In 2015, The European Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery published his description about a new surgical technique for pulmonary artery reconstruction. He's mainly expertise in minimally invasive thoracic surgery and hybrid techniques, and also in nonintubated surgery.
Dr. Caballero is consultant in Thoracic Surgery at University La Paz Hospital, Moncloa HLA Hospital and Sanitas La Zarzuela Hospital. She's a great enthusiast of the new technology applied to surgery. In fact, she's specialized in Uniportal VATS and Robotic Surgery for the treatment of lung and mediastinal tumors. In addition, Dr Caballero is also specialized in endoscopic treatment (flexible and rigid bronchoscopy) of airway diseases.
Dr. Figueroa is consultant in Thoracic Surgery at University Clinic Hospital, in Valencia, Spain. He has developed the minimally invasive thoracic surgery program in his department, with growing experience in the whole range of VATS procedures, including lung segmentectomies and MIS esophaguectomy. He’s also focused in laryngotracheal surgery and interventional bronchology, as he works in a national referral center for complex airway pathology. Cofounder of CiTiMed, the Mediterranean Integral Thoracic Surgery Unit.
Dr. Recuero is consultant in Thoracic Surgery at Miguel Servet University Hospital and Lozano Blesa University Clinic Hospital. He's Tutor of Residents at his center and member of the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery (SECT). His main topics are minimally invasive techniques (VATS), lung-sparing procedures and research in malignant pleural efussion where he is leading the elaboration of a consensus document for the Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery (SECT).
