About Me
I'm a Thoracic Surgeon in University General Hospital of Alicante, and also Thoracic Surgeon and cofounder of CITMIA, the minimally invasive thoracic surgery unit of Alicante. I'm specialized in minimally invasive surgery (MIS), mainly Uniportal VATS, sublobar resections and nonintubated procedures.
I've noticed how Thoracic Surgery has evolved in the last decade, from mainly generalized open painful approaches to the age of video-assisted thoracic surgery, commonly called VATS.
Technological advances combined with the enthusiasm and passion of new generations of surgeons, have changed the model of teaching and learning new techniques, tips and tricks for improving surgical care to our patients.
The aim of this blog is to share my knowledge, experience, but also mistakes with other surgeons in order to improve their performance in Thoracic Surgery techniques.
When we think about future, it's already past; surgery is changing so fast that we need new ways for sharing surgical knowledge out from publications and statistics.
It's time to share what we do.
